Bike for Bibles
“Through our spokes, God speaks!”
Bike for Bibles (B4B) is an annual CBS event that brings cycling enthusiasts of all ages and walks of life together for a time of fellowship on the road - with one purpose in mind - to help raise funds for Bible distribution and translation projects.
In 2011, over 100 cyclists of various ages participated and raised funds to help bring God’s Word to prison inmates in Canada. In partnership with Prison Fellowship Canada, the Canadian Bible Society distributed more than 9,000 copies of the new Prison Ministry Bible. This year, Bike for Bibles will raise $100,000 to help end the waiting for those who still do not have God’s Word in their own language.
“GOD SPEAKS MY LANGUAGE!”
Thousands still wait for even one book of the Bible in their heart language. Translating the Bible is a daunting task that takes up to 12 years. But what a wonderful joy it is when someone eventually receives a Bible in the language they can understand… like 80-year old Chen Guo Zi from China.

A recent report from the United Bible Society states, “Believers who have never had to read the Bible in anything but their own language find it difficult to experience the feelings of people doing so for the first time: people who, after years of reading Scripture in their second language, with all the doubts, questions and incomplete understanding it brings, now hear God speaking in their own mother tongue. These people’s delight, joy, astonishment and other feelings are rolled up together in the cry, heard so often at the launch of a new translation, “God speaks my language!”
Bike for Bibles is an opportunity for you to get involved in raising funds for the important task of translation so more people can have the Bible in their heart language.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

NOT ABLE TO RIDE? That's o.k., we still need your help!
- Volunteer to assist with riders along their routes (see contact information for your district)
- Pray for safety at all ride events
- Donate and support a specific rider or make a general donation.
