A Message from Dale Broadworth

I have wondered for many years what my last day with CBS will be like. It seems hard to believe almost 29 years of service is ending.

I have had the privilege of visiting many countries around the world. The CBS staff and family are a wonderful group of people. I have been so enriched, so blessed, by many great moments. It has been a privilege to serve the Bible Society cause and leaving a small pastorate along the St. Lawrence has provided me with insight and blessings above my many dreams.

Thank you all for every encouragement, every kind word, every idea, and every prayer. I logged many a mile (rather—kilometre) over the years, thankfully, with no accidents. I have enjoyed good health, a supportive wife who has put up with a husband who at times was quite selfish and thoughtless. Gayle is a wonderful companion and partner.

So, as you read this email, knowing that the best is yet to come, my prayer is that CBS willcontinue to be a great vehicle that will bless many as we labour together for Christ in our world.

When Martyn Thomas, a CBS rep from Eastern Ontario District came to my church in September 1981, he told me about this opening in the North. It turned out to be key turning point in our lives and God revealing his will in a wonderful way. Thank you, Martyn.

To the board of Northern Ontario, who has been especially wise, helpful, and supportive during this past year, I wish you good success in the years ahead. I wait in expectation as to how he will lead and help us move forward.

Sincerely,

Dale
