Director's Outlook

The strength of the Canadian Bible Society has always been volunteers in local communities and churches who are committed to the principles and mission of the organization:  Translation, Publication and Distribution of the Scriptures, as well as helping people to deeply engage in the Bible itself.  Through a growing network of faithful folks throughout the Maritimes, the Bible Society continues to speak into the lives of people over 200 years after its initial founding. 

Through some of the programs offered by the Bible Society, including Proclamation, Walk Thru the Bible, Bikes for Bibles and numerous local efforts and events, the work of CBS continues to draw the support of people whose vision to reach every person with the life changing Word of God is the heartbeat of what propels the Bible Society to seek new ways to get the Scriptures out into the hands of people who need it most.

By developing new approaches through technology, offering resources through Kisoks located throughout the region, as well as events where the stories can be shared personally about translations completed, new editions made available, and other accounts of lives being touched by the Bible, the Canadian Bible Society continues to move to the cutting edge of helping people from all walks of life to discover The Word.
