Egypt

Thank God for the wonderful response to Bible World. Please pray for an efficient central warehouse to provide Scripture to the growing Christian population and future generations in Egypt and the whole region. Pray also for creativity and means to encourage Bible engagement. Pray that many students will be strengthened in their faith as Christian religion teachers are empowered and enabled to help them engage with the Bible.

Lebanon
Thank the Lord for relative political stability and growing collaboration with the Church. Praise Him, too, for the various Bible engagement programs that are reaching thousands of children annually. Our youth programs continue to attract many visitors to the Books for Life resource centre. Please pray for the impact of our weekly television program aimed at young people. Also pray for the Bible-based holistic service we are implementing with various underprivileged groups.

Iraq
A new branch in Kurdistan and the distribution of our first published Kurdish Surani Family Bible is a real miracle here! Thank the Lord for the holistic work we are doing for the displaced and needy. Pray for distribution throughout Iraq and for the safety of our team, risking their lives to provide God’s Word in several languages. Continue praying for the persecuted Church, and that peace will prevail.

Gulf States
Praise God for our FCBH program; audio Scriptures are very effective among migrant workers. The Chronological Bible stories are also bringing the Bible to those who cannot read. Training workshops on story-telling are equipping churches to tell bible stories to different language groups, and the Arabic Scripture program is developing very quickly. Pray for the new Bible centre within the premises of the Catholic Church in Doha, Qatar.

CANADA

Join us in prayer for the needs of a post-Christian society, as we look to create new materials and strategic partnerships that will reach diverse ethnic groups, First Nations communities and the younger generation with The Word for Life. Pray also for ICAP, through which CBS provides cutting-edge technical support for Bible translation and publishing. Pray for the ICAP team as they provide support for the latest version of Paratext. Pray that its new features will be well received and that they will further enhance the effectiveness of Bible translation and publishing support around the world.
