Don Miller

Director of Ministry Advancement, Eastern Ontario

Don was born in a little place in the middle of Zululand Africa. A year later, his parents moved to Swaziland where they lived for 12 years. After a brief stay in South Africa, they immigrated to Canada where his parents settled in Sarnia, Ontario. After attending school in Chicago and Toronto, Don ended up settling in Ottawa.

Don was married in 1989 to Judy Sider. They have two wonderful children. Joshua was born in 1996 and Benjamin in 1997. As a family they enjoy camping trips in their Coleman pop-up trailer, hiking on the trails close to their house, trips to the beach and a variety of sports experiences.

They moved to Ottawa to be a part of Arlington Woods Church. Don served there for 16 years as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and for the last six as Senior Pastor. In 2006, Don worked for YOUCAN as Director of Development. YOUCAN is a by-youth, for-youth organization that does conflict resolution training. In the spring of 2007, Don joined the Canadian Bible Society as their Eastern Ontario Director.

Don is a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program for young leaders in Canada. He also served as a Host Pastor for the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. Don serves on the Board of the Free Methodist Church in Canada. His interests include traveling, reading, camping, sports, technology and war history. Recently, Don pursued some of his family history and was able to get his British passport.
