Rev. Len Bachiu

Director of Ministry Advancement, Saskatchewan

Len was born and raised in the province of Saskatchewan. When he graduated from high school in his home town of Assiniboia, he moved to Regina where he attended university for two years before he began working for a local insurance company. It was during this time that he met and married his wife Iona. Over the years the Lord blessed them with three sons and a daughter. Len is now the grandfather of two beautiful girls and is awaiting the birth of a third grandchild.

After thirteen years working in the insurance industry Len sensed a call to pastoral ministry. He resigned from his job and earned a degree from a Bible College in Regina. Then he began a twenty year career of pastoring churches in Alberta and Manitoba.

In August of 2002 he returned to Saskatchewan to accept his present position with the Canadian Bible Society. His passion to provide resources to churches to assist them in combating what he sees a very high level of Biblical illiteracy in the church.

Len is also passionate about and committed to his local church, preaching and teaching when called upon.
