Roger Robert

Favourite verse: "Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures."

Roger Robert

Director of Ministry Advancement, Manitoba

While serving as pastor of "La Mission de la Bonne Nouvelle", in Sudbury, Ontario, Roger received an invitation to join the Northern Ontario District Board of the CBS. The answer was a quick yes and Roger served only briefly on the board, before he was asked to join the Bible Society team as a District Secretary.

His work started in Quebec City on January 2, 1985 where he served the Quebec District of the CBS until the fall of 1997, when the Manitoba District came calling. During his first Sunday in Winnipeg on the drive to church, a sign in the sky appeared. It was a billboard, which read: "May your life be as a roll of toilet paper - long and useful." over the years this has been my prayer for our ministry.

Roger is a Graduate of Université Laurentienne (BA) and McMaster University (MDiv). Roger is an ordained pastor with the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec. He is married to Wendy, (almost 40 years) and they have two grown children, Tamara and Paul.
